About Grace Alone Baptist Church
Grace Alone Baptist Church is a reformed, family-integrated baptist church. We are a church committed to supporting parents to home-school their children. We are a new church plant, in the heart of the bluegrass, Paris, Kentucky. We are committed to proclaim the sufficiency of Scripture for church and family life. We are committed to recover the biblical doctrines of manhood and womanhood. We are committed to communicate the biblical doctrine of the family. We are committed to restoring the biblical pattern of age integrated, family integrated worship, discipleship and evangelism.
Grace Alone Baptist Church is currently being shepherded by only one elder, with the vision the Lord will send other elders soon, as Scripture teaches that the church is to be governed by a plurality of elders.
The vision of Grace Alone Baptist Church is to be a Bible-based, Bible-saturated, Christ-centered church uniting families in worship and delighting chiefly in the infinitely glorious and sovereign God. As a result of this vision, the following emphasis will characterize our church:
GOD
God rules both in the heavens and in the affairs of humanity. He created everything that exists and sustains all things by His power. Our primary purpose as His creation is to bring Him glory and to delight in Him.
Law and Gospel
The perfect and holy law of God shows that we are guilty before Him and are unable to bring about the inner change necessary to obey Him from the heart. The Gospel is that Christ has fulfilled the demands of the Law and is the only way for the believer to have a relationship with God. He comes to powerless people and grants repentance from sin and faith in Christ. He takes away guilt and credits His righteosness to those who believe in Him.
Worship
Worship is our corporate expression of our joy in the worth of God in response to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Because God is a cut above us, the only acceptable way of approaching Him in our worship must be revealed to us by God Himself. Therefore, He may not be worshipped in way invented by man. The central act of worship is the preaching of God's Word, through which we are made alive and fed spiritually. Preaching should be unashamedly, intensely, and unmistakenably Christ-centered. Singing is to be goverened by the purpose of true worship, the exaltation of the Lord, the instruction of God's people, and the spiritual feasting of God's people on their Savior and His grace. God must be the center of our worship service.
Evangelism
Evangelism is our passion, our privilege and it is our responsibility to spread Whom we love most through all legitimate means. We long to see the lost to know and treasure the true joy that is found only in Christ. We have supreme confidence in our sovereign God, as we pray and share the Gospel, that He can and will transform rebels into believers, even through our weak and flawed efforts.
Family
God has ordained marriages to be between one man and one woman for life as well as gifting others to a life of singleness. Therefore, we desire to see healthy families strengthened and broken families healed. Our goal is to train and equip men to be spiritual leaders in their homes, leading their families in truth and godliness, while at the same time caring for those who are widows, orphans and single women. Parents are the primary source of education and are responsible for the spiritual nurture of their children. The role of the church is to equip, encourage, and reinforce the parents in their God-given roles.
